Gratitude
On this Thanksgiving, we are giving double thanks.
We give thanks for the vibrant support of a passionate and diverse community of friends and family. And we give thanks for the incredible generosity of the donor building Greensboro's new Mirror Theater, Andrew C. Brown.
Together, like Charlie Brown and his friends in the picture above, they are an unbeatable team.
In honor of these gifts, we are sharing both a beautiful letter by Abigail Demers, who has been growing up with GAAR the past four years, as well as a small selection of the thanks we've received from the community in praise of Mr. Brown.
As Thornton Wilder once said, “We can only be said to be alive in those moments when our hearts are conscious of our treasures.” On this Thanksgiving holiday, GAAR is truly aware of our treasures. And we are grateful for them.
